great camera, what up with the flash? : Nikon COOLPIX S8200 16.1 MP CMOS Digital Camera with 14x Optical Zoom NIKKOR ED Glass Lens and Full HD 1080p Video (Black)
After much research online, I chose this camera. Which unfortunately for me, was only 2 weeks before my vacation to Spain. I received my camera 1 week before my trip, which gave me no time to really practice with it beforehand. So I downloaded the 228 page manual and took it with me! Note to Nikon: Print a book! I would have paid more just to get it! I am in love with this camera! The low light performance is outstanding, as is the image stabilization and macro shooting. I only used the video a couple of times, but the shooting is easy,and something I will use in the future. I am a previous Nikon customer, so the controls were easy to figure out without having to study my manual.
As a previous user had stated, the flash design is awkward. It took a couple of days of using it before I stopped putting my finger on top of the flash. I started using one hand to take the photos, and they were still extremely sharp.I can't wait to choose my photos for enlarging & framing. At 16 MP, the sky's the limit!
